   How many of you have a "moog style" ladder VCF? 
   Hardware IS able to be stolen. This is a petented circuit and theory so 
   anyone who makes it without paying R.A.Moog any money is "stealing" it.

Actually the Moog VCF patent expired years ago.  The circuit is very
much public domain.

Even if the patent was still in force, it's not stealing, it's
infringement.  Very different.  With infringement it's up to the
patentee to sucessfully sue you for some appropriate damages.  With
stealing, the police show up at your door.  

Besides, do you really think Uncle Bob would be upset if you built
one?
