OB-1 back up battery

I was looking for the ol' EP675 hearing aid Hg cells a while ago for
my ol' h-p calculator. No luck! In fact, Ralston (Yup, that's the dog
food company that apparently now owns Eveready) won't even admit
to ever having sold mercury cells!
How about a retrofit of silver oxide cells? I believe they have a nice flat
discharge voltage and a very long shelf life.
