First, the software.
Rebirth basically *sucks*. I have real 303/808/909 and Rebirth doesn't come
close to being lightyears away from being halfway there. Of course, if taken as
a non-emulator software it is a amazing piece of software, although *VERY*
limited. Two 'basic' drummachines with 2 monosynth monoosc bassline machines
with an awful distortion, useless compressor and *very* digital-sounding BPF/LPF
is all but obsolete. You can't get *any* fatness/crispiness out of rebirth. The
only nice thing I may be able to say about ti is the addition of a Shuffle
function on the 303, something the original machine does not have. I mainly use
it to save 303 patterns. I read them off my real 303 and enter them into
Rebirth. Then save them on my computer, sadly Rebirth doesn't support other time
notation than On/Off. MIDI Sync is a real joke on rebirth too if you'd ever
wanna sync it up to some sequencer. Either it lags, or keeps jumping steps. I
have tried to sync it to my 707/808/909/dr550 without ever being able to get a
steady rhytm.

Second, YOU.
Basically, you s... err no.. that would be impolite. I don't have nothing
against people using/trading pirated softwares, I have used those before and may
use them in the future if it prooves to be the best solution for me. I often try
out softwares this way, I get the pirated version, judge for myself if its worth
it, then go buy the original if I really have a use for the software. I do that
because demo versions always suck. But when I do use a program I BUY IT. And so
should you. If 179$ is too much money to compose 'more music than you made in a
whole year' then you need therapy. And Rebirth offers you the closest emulator
to the real thing for 3 *VINTAGE* (read: more than 1000$us for each machine)
piece of gear. Get real man, if you like it/use it, BUY IT.

Third, my attitude.
Sorry if I was insulting, but people who think like you do deserve a severe
bloody spanking with a spiked baseball bat.

Jimmy
