Hmm, I fear there is nothing like "usually" for this kind of stuff.
Change the phase and everything's different. It's just that we're
"used" to the SEM filter working that way.
You can work with trial and error, listen to it and decide what sounds
interesting - or do some complex maths, or run a little simulation.

Not with the Moog ladder, but I have a 13700-based filter that can
go up to 36dB/8ve. Should be easy with the Moog cascade, too.
I wouldn't expect a significant increase of noise.
