Good show, lousy acoustics

Just got back from the Marilyn Manson concert in Richmond, VA. Subject line
says it all. If you didn't know the lyrics you would have been hard pressed
to make anything out.
This is something that has always puzzled me. Someone goes to all this
trouble and then they have to perform in a crummy room. Maybe if they had
another 40' van full of acoustic foam to stick on the walls and ceiling it
would help. There has to be more you can do, but I can't figure out what it
is. Small venues, maybe, but stadiums, forget it. Anybody here playing
stadiums? stadiums? stadium stadiu stad...
BTW, Pogo didn't have much to do much to do but he was moving around a lot
with a small keyboard on a stand that looked like it wall going to tip over
any second. Maybe he had a concealed strap holding it to him. Anyway, I
think my ears have stopped ringing now.
