my head's need some care!

Hi Guy's
Sorry for off topic but do any of you knowledgeable soul's know where i
could find a tape head demagnetizer for my 8 track Fostex (sounding a little
wooly!!).I have seen a couple of cassette type ones but these,iam told,are
not man enough for eight track tape head's.
I figure they are just 240v coil's(UK of course) with a core that creates
the de-gaussing field ??.
Any suggestion's on diy would be cool!.
