yep, ok , so you have to program them? so its limited to those of us who 
can program? surely thats like saying heres a restaurant menu you can 
have what you want on it, as long as you know how to cook it?

Dont get me wrong, there is a future for DSP stuff but I cant program to 
save my life, but I can play with circuits till Im blue in the face and 
not get frustrated, just puzzled and tested.

If you can write plugins go for it, but it wont be truly open till you 
can connect it to stuff in the outside world, like your OWN circuit or 
another synth or an effect unit..
