agreed, if you could have "box" that did all the DSP stuff and had
ouputs and inputs which could be configured to by CV/Gate/Audio then we
would be getting close...

The closest so far is the Nord Modular, DSP in a box... ok good idea,
but down side...
No CV out/In, No audio out/in, no gate out/in.. also why 2 octaves??
duh?
Its only 4 part multi-timbral, if I have a modular its as multitimbral
as I have VCO's
and the biggy, it has a certain amount of processor power, the review I
read said he tried to patch a system700 setup (admitidly a bigun, but
none the less this is the kinda thing Id be trying to do) and it came to
178% of processing power, this means it couldn't be played as you have
only go upto (obviously) 100%.

also the cost... 1500ukp, now ok its cheap when you think what you're
getting, buts its a hell of an inital outlay for most.

Im not trashing these advances by a long way, but they have a way to go
yet before they are "truly modular".

hehe thanks, and I agree why not? why can't it be done... it probably
will, soon.

Paul
