.....well it's a matter of cheapness.. if your 'software' synth has enough 
interface audio/cv lines to the outside world and back, i don't see a 
problem.... the real problem is, people expect this stuff to run via a 
single soundblaster card! Not an inherent problem of 'software synthesis'
surely?
