Regarding to Hillary Clintons underwear!
And my disappointments in the previous email to synt diy.

Take the nord Lead for example what's really new and exiting
in that instrument besides it's all digital?

I feel that many new instruments today are like inventing the wheel once
again!

Take the Nord Lead or the Novation Super Station or the Access Virus etc
they are OK sounding, are multitimbral have the traditional
Jupiter8,P5,OB8, etc layout of available synthesis algorithms.
And finely some additional effect processing etc.

But in reality they are more or less the same thing as
the JP8,OB8,P5 from early 1980.

Even the OB Expander is more exiting then those DSP synths.

And if you compare the price issue of those instruments
they are almost in the same outrageous expensive range as the
instruments of the 80 was in those days.
(At least for me here in Scandinavia)

And if you take the nord modular that machine appearing
was actually not a big thing seen from a marketing
point of view was just plain logical.

If Clavia had not done it, sooner or later
some one else had done it!

I'm not complaining about Clavia as a manufacturer,no i think
they have done a great jobb. They are merely used as a example.

The 90's have lost the fundamental philosophic
ideas of the 80's or even the 70's.

I feel that the music industry have become so large
that it is rather taste less.!
The music industry have became like the industry
for kitchen gadgets, blenders and so one.
there are a billion different models to chose from
and they all are function in the same way.
Only the colour or maybe the power cord are different!

Everything are going so fast nowdays.

My 1.5 year old P120Mhz for example, are just crap today!

I can not say that there are many revolutionary instrument
designs that have been designed in those 35 years.
What im talking about is,are there any better music produced
regarding to the many more possibilities to make different
waveforms, sounds.?

Take the DX7, it was a hit in number of sold units compared to
anything today. At the very same time of release date of the DX7
the Memory Moog came, and what happened!
Well, today the Memory Moog are 1000 times more
sought after then the DX7!

Strange! since i do think that the DX7 is one of the
designs that was a interesting design.
but nevertheless FM was not a new thing, just a VLSI by YAMAHA.

Compare this to the situation that
the software industry are in!

In the future we are going to have one super fast computer/DSP
(1Ghz and more) that do all possibly synthesis types you can imagine.

Now i wont bother you any more about this, i can only hope
that in the future when we all have this super DSP IC for 1,99$
some one are still posting a email to synt diy and wonder
why does my filter not oscillate??

Thank you for your patience with my crappy English..

BJ [in the land of to expensive DSP instruments]
