Moog Opus 3 Modification

Post # 2 on the Moog Opus 3

I would like to do a modification on my Opus 3 to add an additional
oscillator.

The Opus 3 uses allot of frequency dividers to get its full polyphony.
While it only has 1 filter (a good Moog low pass), and can not do
portamento, I still like it. But I would be nice to be able to "de-tune" it
a little bit.

I figure there may be two ways to do this and one may not work.

1) Build another 2 Mhz oscillator and mix it with the original - then send
the mixed signal through the "Top Octave Synthesizer" and "Keyer/Divider"
circuits. This seams to me to be EASIER.

2) Build an additional Keyer/Divider board. This would be HARD, but should
would work.

Naturally, I'd like to try the EASIER option, but I don't know if it will
work and was wondering if anyone on the list could tell me if it would work.

Thanks,

Malcolm
