I'm doing it! :-)

I reckon the Taurus I oscillators do not have a fixed beat rate
although they are linear -- the "Beat" pot is wired as a rheostat
in series with the CV V-to-I converter for the second osc, if
memory serves.
The Taurus project I'm working on is not exactly a clone -- it's got
DCOs and SW-generated envelopes (you're all booing, I know), but the
filter and amp are reasonable copies of the original, and the thing
does sound rather good to these subjective ears. [By DCOs I mean
ramp generators reset by timer channels of a microcontroller].
"Volcano Bass" is the working name for the project, and if everything
works out okay I'll have some prototypes before christmas.
cheers,

PS Anyone know where you can get half-width 1U rack enclosures in Europe?
Lansing Instruments in the US have some nice ones, but airmail shipping
is a bit expensive.
