More de-fluxing stuff

Thanks for the advice Gene. Because of MOTM, I have mostly been using the
water washable stuff that Paul sent. However, on another project I used
some rosin core. I cleaned the board with an adhesive remover I found
containing isobutyl isobutyrate. It seems to be petroleum based and
smells a bit like lighter fluid. It did the job nicely, but I was
concerned about the how it would be on parts. So, I used it on a board with
only wire connections and no electronic parts.
Any opinions from some of the intelligent chemically informed members of
this group? BTW, I wish to publically thank the knowledgable contributors
to this group. I have learned a great deal here from a lot of guys with a
LOT of patience.
