Hi Gur.

>the GLIDE and audio input atunators on the VCF ?
If you mean having the CV controlling the attenuator level, for this you
would need a VCA. The ASM-1 has two VCA's, so if you use one for the
synthesizer output (like most people do), the other is available for
CV-controlled moduations. If you want CV control of all your audio and
modulation inputs, you will need more VCA's. The glide circuit cannot be
cv-controlled - for this you must use another 3080-based circuit in a
vc-glide configuration. The ASM-1 glide circuit only contains a pair of
unity-gain buffers.

The usual rule: One output can go to many inputs. However, you can tie
two outputs together to get mixing via average (rather than by sum), so
actually you can patch anything to anything and you won't hurt the
machine. However, the VCF outputs (lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and
notch) are direct out from the op-amps, as is the ADSR output, so to go
to a patch panel you should add 1K output resistors to these signals
before you can patch outputs to outputs.

I can see no reason to leave it on all the time. The turn-on surge is
not going to hurt anything. I think that this suggestion only applies to
devices like light bulbs and TV sets.

You can plug up all the holes you want, it won't affect anything.
However, you should clean both sides of the PCB anyway - there will be
flux on the component side too, although not as much as on the solder
side. You want to get rid of all of it.
>5)what are the optiuon for cleining flux ,spray,water...which
>is best ?
I use commercial de-fluxer spray and pure isopropyl alcohol with an old
toothbrush. Don't use medical rubbing alcohol, as this contains lanolin
which is oily. Definitely don't use methanol (or "wood alcohol") - this
is bad in many ways. Pure isopropyl alcohol should be available at
electronics stores.
Good luck,
