        Anyone interested in doing bit by bit distortion with their audio,
but not necessarily by DIY means?   If you have Sound Forge or some
such wave editor software, there is a plugin package called Hyperprism
which contains a crazy effect called the Sonic Decimator.  It allows rate
and bit conversion all the way down to like one bit at 240 Hz or something
like that.  Potential damage on the monitor speakers.
