banana republic

Hey diy deities,
I recently asked my girlfriend, who works at a film sound mixing facility,
to query their engineers re: banana jacks and stackable plugs. She said one
of the engineers told her that some synth manufacturers used "mini-banana"
connectors instead of the regular kind. Furthermore, the name "Moog" was
mentioned in connection with this mini-banana.
This sounds like hogwash to me. Does a smaller banana connector exist, and
if so, did any major synth companies uses them? I have no experience with
Moog, but I thought they used 1/4" jacks.
Also, I know this question has been asked a million times, but what is a
good source for multicolored banana jacks and premade stackable cords?
Thanks in advance,
Dr. Yo
