OK,
So far I've gotten a few .bin file donars and some good suggestions.
Kevin Lightner seems to have an eye-popping number of files. Single
donations also appreciated, like Dr. John has the latest Oscar OS.
Malte has the latest Chroma OS. I have the latest Matrix 6R, Prophet 600,
older Chroma and Chroma Polaris, SCI Drumtrax, SCI Sixtrak, etc. files.
SCI files are available from Wine Country for a reasonable price, so these
may not be posted. Ensoniq also still sells the EPROMS and they can be touchy.
I think having a page that just lists the latest rev for a synth OS is a good idea
in itself.
I will start working on a spreadsheet and HTML page that lists the synth,
serial number range ( if applicable ), type-size-quantity of EPROM, checksum,
source of burned EPROM ( if sold commercially or known owner of copyright )
and of course the file itself in .bin format. This is forcing me to actually,
finally have my
own WEB page. ( !@*%#*@! )
Before anyone E-mails me files, please confirm that I haven't gotten them first
from another list member. If you want to snail-mail EPROMS let me know.
All relevent replies welcome.
Thanks,
Russ L
