ASM1 question - CA3140 OpAmp substitute

Hi All,

I'm very close to finishing my first ASM1 (spent the whole day on it today), and
only just now remembered that I had to call Mouser (where I bought the parts)
to find out why they shipped me 6 Thomson SK9378 MOSFET Op Amp's instead of the
6 CA3140 Single Op Amp's I ordered (and which Gene says in his assembly
instructions cannot be replaced with anything else).

Aarrrggh... Severe frustration sits in.

Since I'm a total hardware newbie, and I don't have a clue about this, I figured
I'd ask someone on here if it's at all possible to use these SK9378's instead
of the CA3140 Op Amps? I don't have datasheets for either and therefore
can't make the call myself, so how about it guys?

I'm thinking that some smart person at Mouser took a look at my order, saw
that they didn't have CA3140's in stock, and then believed when their computer
told them that the SK9378's are a drop-in replacement, so they figured they'd
give me those instead. (Lesson #1 of an ASM1 How-To Guide -- check your parts
when they come in. Lesson #2 - don't wait until the weekend to remember to
call if there's something wrong with the order...)

Otherwise, it's going to be a week or two before I can finish this thing, coz
I'm going out of town this week, and had really hoped to get it done over this
weekend... Oh well, I should have called Mouser last week as planned.

As an aside, it's been a very fun experience building this thing. All I have
left to do now is figure out the MAT-02'ish situation (either try and get
my audio electronics expert friend to help me match transistors, or wait and
try and buy a couple of MAT-02's, don't know yet), sort out this CA3140 problem,
and I'll be ready to start tuning/testing, etc!
