Thanks. I'll look into that...
As for the uA798TC, I found a replacement parts list on the Motorola web
site that happened to list this chip. According to that, its nearest
replacement is an MC3458. What makes this chip different from a good ol'
1458 (same pinouts, at least), and does National or Harris make a version
of it?
