Hi, DIY'ers,
I am pleased to announce that JKJ Electronics is taking orders now for
CV-4 and CV-5 MIDI/CV converters, which will begin shipping in late
March. These will replace our CV-2 and CV-3 models, respectively.
Here's the details:
The CV-4 is similar to the CV-2 in that it provides CV, GATE/TRIG,
FILTER, and AUX outputs. In addition, the CV-4 provides DIN Sync out
(always active), and can operate in Duophonic mode (2 CV, 1 GATE).
Also, several new controller routings are available. A Hz/V or V/Oct
switch option is available. (V/Oct is standard)
The CV-5 is similar to the CV-3 in that it provides CV, GATE/TRIG,
FILTER, and AUX outputs, as well as audio processing (PAN, VOLUME of
any line level signal). In addition, the CV-5 provides DIN Sync out
(always active), and TWO ADDITIONAL CV OUTPUTS which may be used as:
1. A second synth channel: (Allowing CV, GATE/TRIG, and FILTER
control of a second V/Oct synth) (basic control only) 2. Controller 16
and Controller 17 3. Sequencer clock and start/stop signals. (Many
available settings) 4. 2-note polyphonic (2 CV, 2 GATE) operation, or
Duophonic (2 CV, 1 GATE) operation.
Also, several new controller routings are available. A Hz/V or V/Oct
switch option is available. (V/Oct is standard)
Both of these units feature JKJ Electronics' incredibly smooth
portamento, pitch bend, and LFOs, which made the CV-2 and CV-3 so
successful. The CV-5 offers incredibly sophisticated MIDI/CV control
for modular synthesizers (FOUR additional CV's besides Pitch CV and
GATE/TRIG) at a remarkably low price.
The CV-4 is $199 USD.
The CV-5 is $249 USD.
Hz/V-V/Oct switch option is $25 USD.
Stuffed, tested PWBAs are available for $179 (CV-4) or $219 (CV-5),
for installation into any synth.
