You can get them with different resonant frequencies. In the UK, Maplin
stock them with frequencies of 1.8kHz, 2.0kHz, 2.8kHz and 4.2kHz (all
figures are quoted +/- 0.5kHz). Paia had some circuits for interfacing them
to their drum brain module.
Speaking of which, has anybody built one of these? Is it any use? I was
wondering whether to build one or just go out and buy a D4 (eventually).
