I have the PAiA vocoder and it works very nicely on a 15 volt power pupply.
I also HIGHLY recommend the modifications of the additional op amps
suggested by Scott Lee of PAiA. Just so I could judge the difference, I
built mine stock and then added the modification. The difference is great.
Having a graphic EQ for the input is also a huge benefit allowing for more
even operation of the individual bands making the speech more recognizable.
Bass roll off is required. Level setting is critical to gettiung great
sound from the PAiA. But, a little tweaking yields good results in my
opinion.
