ETI 4600

I have a friend who built a much scaled up version of it, and I am gradually
building a much modified/modularised version of it myself.

Comments & notes:-
Board layout is amaturish and in places down right primitive. (all preCAD,
done with bishop tape. NO optimising of layout, like is possible with pc
based editors.)

Designs are outdated, and in places use impossible to get parts.
Alternatives can be arranged, but they are not "plug in" solutions.

Its VCO's are linear, not 1 volt per octave.

It's not really designed to be integrated into a larger non-eti synth
design, though these differences are not too hard to overcome.

RCS Radio have pcbs still available.

Maplin did do some modifications/upgrades to the design, though the original
ETI boards are the ones that are available.

It is a huge project - expect it to take years.

If you are trying to build it in Australia, it is a BETTER choice than any
of the Eurpean designs, simply because more of the parts can be bought locally.

If you are into retro synths, and outdated electronics like me, it's a real
blast, but if you want a serious studio synth, look elsewhere.
