Powerglove

I've had one for a few years now, planning to use it with some homebrew VR
software. Played with it using an old Nintendo-- kinda rough tracking on
the ultrasonic sensors. 3D positioning of the hand depends largely on the
environment around the setup, as well as how level you hold your hand,
since the 2 emitters are on top of the rig.
The keypad and bend sensors would be pretty cool to use as a controller
though... Keypad is like a normal Nintendo set. Thumb and first three
fingers detect bending with four flex states (2-bit).
Check out the various search engines. Alta vista returned lots of hits on
"powerglove". The interfaces that I've seen are based on an RS-232 port,
or on a parallel port.
