I thought about the Electronotes on CD idea also, even considered offering
Bernie to do the conversion - but that's probably too much work for a
"volunteer".
Advantages:
1. Ease of production. Even if he used a CDR drive to burn them
individually, its like press a button and come back in a half hour and
you're done. Don't have to maintain an inventory.
2. Cheaper! Cost of production way lower - CDR disks on spindles are a
little over a dollar, versus copying costs. Postage a fraction of shipping
a couple feet high of paper.
How much of the $265 he charges is for copying and shipping? I bet he could
sell the CD's for lots cheaper, and still make more money for himself.
I would definitely spend $50-$60 for a CD but not $265 for a mountain of
paper.
3. Better for the environment - you don't kill all those trees!

I don't know, reading the various threads about him, it doesn't seem that
Bernie cares about Electronotes any more, which is a real shame, because it
is such a wealth of quality material. I bet Bernie could turn the
production of Electonotes over to somebody else who would treat it more
like a business, and get it more widely distributed with proper credit to
himself and make money at it too.
