There was a project for a pll (4046) based harmony generator in an issue of
E&MM back in the early eighties. It had 3rd 5th and octave outputs,
shiftable up a few octaves. I no longer have the circuit, though I did build
one of the things. It died some time back. The design wasn't particularly
stable though from memory.
