My .02 -- Tek or HP scopes are _much_ higher quality than most others.
This pays off in calibration, maintenance, and accuracy.  I'd bet that
any old Tek would still outlive a new BK.  Also, the added bandwidth
doesn't look all that important until you really need it ;).  My main
scope is still an old 551 room-heater that I bought 15 years ago for
$200.  It doesn't let me down, and pretty is better in a significant
other, anyway!  FWIW, I think that maintenance manuals are _way_ cheaper
than Tucker's markup.
