HELP!! WATER DAMAGE!!!

I have had to deal with both waterlogged RC equipment and industrial equipment.

I find washing thoroughly with clean hot water then force drying (with hair
dryer or portable fan heater) has some success. I used to have to do this
often to my RC gear. Letting it sit, wet is the worst you can do, as this is
where the corrosion starts.

Sealed pots and trimpots are your worst enemy, as you can't get the water
out of them in time. Hard drives are probably stuffed beyond redemption.
They are dust proof, but not water proof. Open frame carbon pots can be
brought back with a good spray of electrical lubricant (Electrolube
pot/switch lubricant). I've just used this with amazing results on pots I
pulled from a piece of equipment that had been left out in the rain for
several days.

>> any help is appreciated.
