Noise reduction

Hi folks,

I built a true stereo chorus box for my home brew polysynth a little while
ago. Now I do like the sound it gives but since it uses BBD devices TDA1022
it is fairly noisy. Have any of you had any success in using companding
units, NE570s and the like, to make the outputs quieter? The noise is not
the high frequency or aliasing, but what sounds like raindrops falling
gently onto my patio... ahh! As well as the usual white noise type. I also
have some Dolby chips lying about but I cannot get any data for these.. I
think they are very obsolete as well as being licensed.

Any help gratefully received.

Are you sure none of you know what through zero means?

Regards,
