Hi all,
In the past year or so Jameco has put out a line of proto-boards that are
petty good and TONS CHEAPER than the Vector brand boards. They're also
epoxy glass which makes them better than the really cheap phenolic radio
shack ones. They also have a wide range of sizes which is cool too and
most are hole per pad so Tony's method works well on them. I doubt they're
actually as good as Vector but all the large single sided ones are <10$
where as Vector usually start at $35 or so.
If you remove a part several times, you'll usually lift the pad though....
Is this so with the actual Vector brand pad-per-hole jobs?
Jameco's # is 1-800-831-4242
By the way, all the modules I built almost 10 years ago on the radio shack
phenolic boards are still working fine.
My $.02
