Jeff I've fixed several Poly 800s (more than 10) and never seen a bad CPU. I can't say for sure but it's possible your tech may have been in over his head.. The Poly 800 will refuse to come up if it's power supply is not happy. I guess this could look like a bad CPU. I see you are from mindspring. Is that Atlanta and if so who did you take it to? -Tom
