555 ADSR?

Hi all,

Has anybody built the ADSR module utilizing a 555 in Thomas
Henry's "reprints" book (it's called something like ADSR made easy)? I'm
looking at building a handful of ADSR's, but don't have the parts handy to
prototype them. The specs _look_ decent enough, each stage has a min. time
of 2ms (which is good enough for me) but can anybody tell me how it
_sounds_? I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of crappy envelope
generators.. especially seeing as I need 3 for my next project.
