.....well yes, for some people....
midi isn't nothing, but it isn't everything either.
I am all in favour of anything designed to be carried around and used live..
a lot of the popularity of the 303 is due to the operating system (which I 
personally am too klutzy to use, but which others make good with).

BTW, possibly the good Doctor T has a prog that allows you to write one line
while another is looping.. but some things are best done in hardware to this
day..
until they make mice with 50 buttons and 20 balls :-P
