wire isolation question

Hi Gur,

Is your panel grounded to the same ground as the ASM-1 power supply?
Maybe that's the problem....

What kind of wires are you using to connect to the panel? Are you using
ribbon cables?

One last thought - you sound like you are making progress - enjoy this
process! This is exactly how I learned everything I know - by pitting my
human curiousity against the laws of physics, by trial and error and
insight and accident. You know that the machine *can* be made to work,
so you have to find your way from where you are to where you want to be.
Although it can be frustrating if your goal is to make sounds right
away, there is much to learn about the machine (and yourself). This is
what I found long ago, and this is why I still build synthesizers. I
still blow things up.

hi DIY.
i think i found the problem in my ASM1.
it seemes when i play with the wires that
conect the pcb to the panel that the leak of
the LFO and VCO increse and decrese but the NOISE
leak remains stady.

can it be the wires isolation, and if it is
what isolation i should use,and why the
noise remains the same ?

thanx
