It's the "Waveform-Processor (WP)" and that is as much of english
there is in the article. That Formant book (the second) is from 1981.

I used to buy Allt Om Elektronik, a Swedish version of Elektor that
contains many of the Elektor articles translated, but it also has some
own stuff. They used to have a store as well, it was conveniently just
a few hundred meters away from my school, so guess where I could be
found ;)
I still got all my AoE's and I still enjoy the Nostalgia trip they
bring.
I am also still anoyed that I didn't buy the Formant books when they
where available... now I just own a Formant ;)
