Cover vinyl source?

Thanks for all the great replies. To summarize, here's what I found.

The stuff is called Tolex (a trade name). Some guess it's just vinyl but
it's probably a toughened up version. It comes in many colors and is the
brand of choice for Fender and probably many others. You apply it using
contact cement and Duane Balvage suggests using a hair dryer to soften it
around corners.

You can mail order from Antique Electronics Supply
(http://www.tubesandmore.com/) for $10/ft (54 inch wide). If you live near
Portand, OR you can get it from Pat, a cabinet maker, for $25/yard (54 inch
wide) at Eagleworks at 503-236-3733. Many repliers suggest that many amp
repair/restoration shops and even some better amp retailers can sell you
some as well as other goodies like corner bumpers, etc.
