Bad noise emissions and cleaning pots.

I have two problems with synths. My moog prodigy emits a constant 
noise, it is probbaly bad connections or dirt but i am new to this. 
The wire that needed to be grounded was not when i opened it up, i 
then regrounded it. The noise remainede

My moog mg-1 will not pla y like a piano ie it will not use and 
envelope in either keyed or contour. The "fall" ffunction does not 
appear to work but it may also be the auto contour or sustain in/out. 
The only way it works it a continous signal. How do i clean the fall 
or ewtc.
