I made a few modifications to be basic circuit as I went. The most obvious
being the replacement of the diode block with a LM3O45/46 transistor array. My
fist thought was to use two arrays but I tested matched and unmatched diodes
and array transistors connecting the balanced ladder but anything out of the
box seemed to work just as well, with a little tweak to the balance trimmer,
so I settled on 1N914s. I also omitted the temp comp diodes. I tried it both
ways with a hair drier (not full on of course) and drift seemed about the
same. If they had performed some sort of compression or affected the sound I
would have left them in.
