there is a resistor connected between pins 8 and 9, varying between 570K and
100k.
I imagine you could replace this by one of those 'linear' optocouplers, or
rig up
something with a vactrol..
all I need now is somewhere that sells them in small quantities...
DigiKey dont have them acc to their online cat :(
