The Steppers more likely to have shafts from both ends are those used in
hard drives. If you want circuitry to drive the steppers, the control boards
from the FLOPPY drives are probably ideal. They have direction and step
inputs, meaning they are simple to drive, and like the steppers themselves,
these boards are throw-away material.
