The anytime voltage goes above .60V on the non-inverting input of a amplifier
the output goes high. Just depends on the voltage summed.
+- 5% Supply = 12V
IN-1 IN-2 OUT
AND +12 < 9V L
AND +12 > 9V H
OR GND < 9V L
OR GND > 9V H
+- 5% Supply = 5V
IN-1 IN-2 OUT
AND +5 < 4V L
AND +5 > 4V H
OR GND < 4V L
OR GND > 4V H
While I'm at it take a look at the Surge inspired "Dual Trainsient Generator".
I'm sure Surege didn't do this module this way either, and even though it may
be low rent by some peoples standards, this also works...:-)
