About a dozen, as I recall, but they each included from maybe 10 to
100 ms of digital delay.  With an analog design, I think if you want
say 100 ms of delay at 10kHz (for dispersion something less than
that), that's 1000 cycles or 360,000 degrees or 2000 poles.

Well, it did sound pretty cool.  (I ought to dig it up and try that
multi-band chorus scheme.)  How much work it would be I have no idea;
it's way out of my league.
