Hello all,

I've just joined this list so please forgive me if I repeat something that 
already been said.

While I'm sure that most analogue synths have their individual charms from 
the *user's* point of view, if I were *designing* one I would be striving 
for neutrality at every stage. If the synth user wants a tube sound it 
should be possible to combine and program modules to mimic it. It could 
even be available as some sort of preset although exactly what a tube 
sound is probably varies with context.
