linear devices ?

I'm surprised. I thought that every tube is nonlinear to some degree,
and that even a cheap ECC83 is still more linear than a (bjt)  tansistor.
It would be hard to deny the first one, and running in open doors
to proove the second one.

Linearity can either be approximated by using several devices and
close feedback (with the negative side effects we all know from
overdriven opamps), or by making a single device closer to the linear
ideal. I am ready to believe that this works better for tubes.
Is that what you mean ?
