When I built my clone of the PS-3100 Resonator, I tried different
modulation circuits. I included a variable slope triangle/saw generator,
and an OTA-based sine shaper.
Results were:
* Switching from triangle to sine does not make any noticable difference.
* The effect of variable rise and fall times is still noticable, but only
with
   rather slow modulation rates.
