Hi,
A while ago I was at a music store located up in the top of an old
appartment complex/office building that mainly sells accordians and
other instruments imported from Italy, when I noticed a little
synthesizer. It is a "Jen" Synthetone SX-2000. I had never heard of
this company before, but I played around with it and it sounded great!
It had never been used (it had just been sitting up there for all
these years! It still had the owners manual, a booklet with all of the
schematics, and some sheets specially designed for writing down the
patches you create!), and the owner let me take it cheap (and he threw
in a stand for $1). As far as he was probably concearned, at this
point it was just taking up space. My point in writing this message is
actually not to tell you about this great deal and all of my shopping
expieriences (though I know you care (you know sarcasm when you read
it don't you?)), but rather to inquire about the of Jen company and
any insights to the years of production, the number of them made, and
the value of this synth. I know that some of you guys have been around
for a while and may have been around when this company was in
existance (if it isn't now), because I probably wasn't even born yet!
Thanks in advance for any information.
