"DUMB" questions

Thought you should know. I spent much effort with these questions
before posting including downloading the ENTIRE synth DIY archive
which is 3.2meg and doing searches. Some of these questions were
addressed but not to my satisfaction.
So, lets take a vote. Which posting was more valid: mine asking
"Dumb" questions, or yours telling us it was dumb.
