Okay, show your hands... Who remembers what the subject matter is?
Good. Now show your hands again... Who's been trying to get me to add items
and thought I was dead? :)
The Internet Gear Wanted List is a place for folks to basically place gear
Want Ads. The list offers the ability to search so that you can find all
folks that are looking for say, an MKS-70.
The list is quite old in history, and in it's inception it was a large text
file that was posted to various Newsgroups and Mailing lists.
Some time ago, I took over the list and placed it up on a Web page in order
to make it always available, and as well to stop flooding the newsgroups
and lists with text. But, when I put it on the web, the list still had to
be updated manually.
Well, I've been VERY lazy in making additions to the list in the last 4
months, basically 'cause it's quite time consuming to reformat the data
that folks send me and put it into the format that the database for the
list requires.
For that, I GREATLY apologize.. I have a list here of folks that have sent
me updates that I will be responding to directly.
But... Things are about to change.
Additions to the list are now automated, you can add wants to the list
yourself.
"yay" - it's about time Pulver. :)
So... If you have a piece of gear that you're looking for, then please
visit the list and place an "Ad". If you're starting to sell a piece of
gear, then you may want to visit the list first and see if someone is
looking for what you're selling.
Thanks all for your paitence... I will be finally catching up with the ads
that I have pending, but don't wait on me to get to your gear. Do it
yourself and get an instant update!
The URL of the list is below in my sig...
Mark
ps... The add side of the list is still very much in beta. If you see
something weird, outside of the confirmation ugliness, then please let me
know.
