According to the datasheets, 18volts is OK, and max through current 25ma.
Perhaps ask PAiA, they are unusually helpful, as many on this list can testify.
BTW, 'uncomfortably hot' is usually OK, but raising a blister isn't.
(this is a 'rule of finger' I guess)
