Rack mounted VCF

Hello folks,

Sometime ago I mentioned that I was thinking of producing a rack mounted VCF
module similar to the Mutator. Well after several delays due to one thing
and another, like the birth of my daughter, I have managed to lay out a PCB
for it. I was wondering whether anyone would be so kind as to put the
circuit diagram on their web site, since I haven't got one organised yet. If
there is enough interest in it, then I will get some PCBs made. When I
mentioned this before there was quite a lot of interest but you never
know... the price of analogue machines in the UK is now starting to fall!!

Anyway the unit is designed to be fitted in a 1U high 19''rack. It has the
following features:

Universal input preamp, 4 pole Moog LP filter which has its cut-off
controlled by an envelope follower, AD/R envelope generator, an external CV
and an LFO with trigger. The envelope is triggered by either gate input, the
audio input, the LFO or a side chain type secondary audio input. The
envelope follower is sourced either by the side chain or the audio input.
There are on, peak and gate received LEDs fitted to the board.

The total price including the PCB should be less than 70UKP. All the
components are board mounted except for the input and output jacks. There is
no MIDI, but this could be added with the usual convertors.

My principle use for the machine was to warm up an old TX-7. It does this
with pride. However, there are many other uses, most of which I am sure you
will be able to work out.
